What do I need to use SnoreAxis?

An iPhone running iOS 26.5 or later, and the SnoreAxis Sensor Kit. The app isfree on the App Store. The kit is what lets it measure your sleep position — theapp alone can hear your night, but it can't tell which way you were lying.

Is the app really free? What am I paying $99.95 for?

The app is free, with no subscription and no account. The $99.95 is the hardware:the sleep position sensor with a fresh tested battery, the washable chest strap thatholds it flat against your sternum, and the quick-start guide. One purchase, nothingrecurring.

Does it work on Android?

Not today. SnoreAxis is an iPhone app. If you don't have an iPhone, the kit won't do anything for you — please don't order one yet.

Where does the sensor go?

In the strap, flat against your sternum — centre of your chest. You put the strapon before bed the way you'd put on a heart-rate strap. There are no wires and nothingto charge at bedtime.

Do I have to charge it?

No. The sensor runs on a replaceable CR2477 coin cell that lasts months. The app shows you the battery level on the Dashboard so you're never guessing.

Does my phone have to stay on all night?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and this is worth knowing before you order. SnoreAxis has to stay open and on screen all night — your sensor only broadcasts position to an app that's in the foreground, so if the phone locks or you switch apps, position tracking stops. The app handles this by dimming to a soft red night clock instead of going dark. You'll also want it plugged in, since the screen, microphone and Bluetooth run continuously,and Do Not Disturb on, because an incoming call interrupts the recording. If a lit phone on your nightstand is a dealbreaker, this isn't the product for you.

I have a pacemaker, a defibrillator, or an Inspire implant. Can I use this?

Check with your doctor first. The sensor is a small Bluetooth transmitter worn on your chest, right where those devices sit. Standard guidance is to keep wirelesstransmitters a few inches away from an implanted cardiac device, so whether this is right for you is a question for your doctor or the device's maker — not for us. If they say it's fine, you're good to go. If not, please don't wear it.

Will SnoreAxis tell me if I have sleep apnea?

No, and it isn't built to. SnoreAxis is a wellness tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, screen for, or monitor sleep apnea or any other condition, and a good score is not a clean bill of health. Identifying an apnea event takes a sleep study — airflow, breathing effort and blood oxygen measured together. What SnoreAxis shows you is which sleep positions were quiet and which weren't. If you'reworried about your breathing, talk to a doctor.
